-stable is not a CVS branch, so it doesn't need to be rebranched.  The
terms `-stable' and `-current' are simply definitions.  (Most likely,
-current will always remain on the HEAD revision, CVS-wise.)

Yes, -stable is supposed to be switched to the 2.2 branch some day
(maybe that -current will become 2.3 then).
