: Hmmm, so that's why it doesn't work? Their README.nfs file on
: their ftp site seems to say they are nfs mountable or has that changed?

Uh... I hate to burst all your bubbles, but gatekeeper does too run a
portmapper, and they do too export their filesystems via NFS:
[/homes/rwpaul]:atlantis{33}# rpcinfo -p gatekeeper.dec.com
program vers proto port
100000 2 tcp 111 portmapper
100000 2 udp 111 portmapper
100005 1 udp 1036 mountd
100005 3 udp 1036 mountd
100005 1 tcp 904 mountd
100005 3 tcp 904 mountd
100003 2 udp 2049 nfs
100003 3 udp 2049 nfs
390113 1 tcp 7937
[/homes/rwpaul]:atlantis{34}# mount gatekeeper.dec.com:/archive /mnt
[/homes/rwpaul]:atlantis{35}# ls /mnt

So you guys must be doing something wrong. :)
Note that gatekeeper's README.nfs says this:
NFS access to the archive has been restored on a provisional basis.
So it might have been taken down at one point, but it's running now. I
haven't tried it in many months so I never really noticed. Last time I
did try, I did over a 14.4K SLIP link on my machine at home. I didn't
leave it mounted for very long. :)
