Date: 10 Nov 1995 22:31:15 GMT Organization: Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research Lines: 32 Message-ID: <480jrj$3hs@senator-bedfellow.MIT.EDU> NNTP-Posting-Host: romeo.wi.mit.edu Xref: euryale.cc.adfa.oz.au comp.os.linux.networking:19977 comp.unix.questions:72860 comp.unix.admin:35075 comp.unix.bsd:16751 I've got a Sun-based automount map that I need to translate into Amd automounter daemon format. This map creates a hierarchical series of mounts on /usr/local with the twist that /usr/local itself is an NFS mount which contains several automounted directories below it. I can't figure out how to achieve the same effect with Amd. Here's an excerpt: /usr/local \ / arnold:/local3 \ /bin arnold:/local4/$ARCH/bin \ /lib arnold:/local4/$ARCH/lib \ /man -soft arnold:/local4/$ARCH/man \ /X11R6 arnold:/local4/$ARCH/X11R6 \ /genome-data -soft gertrude:/local \ /users -soft arnold:/local \ /genome -soft trudy:/local2 \ /var/spool/mail -soft trudy:/local/spool/mail Thanks for your help in advance.
