I just disabled them on my box to enable me to connect to another machine with them disabled altho I have no problems myself normally - only when connecting to this particular machine ( 2.0.5->2.0.5) Do these extensions cause problems over ethernetted connections or only ppp/slip ones ? what is the 'loosing hardware' mentioned ?
