Your answer is correct in that you can have more than one hostname defined to DNS. It is also possible to have multiple domains assigned to the same machine. I am setting up my Internet connection at work and have 8 domain names. What you need is to set up all the right files in DNS. Check out the ORA book on DNS and Bind.
