Anyone, know why some ethernet cards are recognized by bsd 1.1 We have
some new 3com 3c509 combos that don't get recognized at all. THEN, get this..
the boot blocks get trashed after a few attempts at rebooting. Also tried an INTEL
etherexpress. An older 3c509 seemed to work though. But with the new cards,
we try to setup the card and it says "what card?" The cards are even defined
in the kernal! The motherboards are Micronics.

Is this the fault of the card, bsd or the motherboard?

thanks in advance.
