I had used the older version to advantage, and had been hesitant to put out the $50 to get the latest version. I *strongly* suggest that people who are having trouble getting their BSD/OS systems going consider this book--for one thing, it has been tested against BSD/OS, unlike most of the other books out there (many of which were published before BSD/OS). (Not against the latest version of BSD/OS, unfortunately.) You will almost certainly need more than is in this book, but in terms of getting started with a decent overview of what's there and what needs to be done in terms of basic system administration, it looks like a winner. It also comes with a collection of utilities & tools on a CD-ROM, which I haven't looked at yet.
