You know that's probably the first civil and sane statement that you've
made around here.

Microsoft is worth several billion bucks. Linux's monetary worth is
pocket change. Yet all along you've expected it (and us) to kneel at
your feet and walk on water at the same time (cursing all the way).

Actually there is. Yggdrasil will solve most problems for $25-$50 a call.
Slackware ver. 3 is like most Linux software. Released in Beta state, beat
upon mercilessly, and quickly improved. I'm still running 2.3 in production
environments because I haven't yet found a showstopper that'll cause me to
upgrade. Of course I have production machines that are still running sub 1.0
kernels. They do the job so why switch?

You've missed my point. You have the right to be dissatisfied. I simply
don't appreciate your attitude. Instead of being cordial, kind and polite
you whine, curse, and complain. Be civil and you'll get a whole different
class of response from us.
