Some days ago apsfilter-4.9.2 was put into the FreeBSD
ports section. I think, this is what you need ...

Grab the ports files, type make, this will grab the "sources"
from wcarchive. After installation SETUP is called automatically,
which creates a printcap suitable for apsfilter && your printer.

After that you'll have definitively a Postscript printer  ;-)
'cause apsfilter is a magic print filter ...
