It may do the basics. I've been using eXodus (the White Pine product)
for a couple of years, and I've recently switched to XoftWare since it
is more robust. Specifically, if any of the X programs you want to run
use the HOOPs graphical engine for their underlying display capability,
you'll have fun trying to get it to work with eXodus. Works fine
with XoftWare as is out of the box.

I've talked with White Pine tech support, they did try to help me,
but punted and said it was probably a font problem, should work,
that kind of drivel.

MachTen is very nice, but you don't need this cannon for quail.
Get it if you want to do unix-style code development on your mac
occasionally, or you just have to have unix on all your machines.

Bottomline, it was faster to buy the competitors product. Plus
XoftWare is about 10% cheaper. Check 'em out. http://www.age.com
