I ported the PCMCIA ethernet driver (for the 3C589C) from FreeBSD to NetBSD and it worked reasonably well (read "it only panics once or twice a day!"), although much of the PCMCIA functionality had been ripped out of the driver. A simple inquiry in one of the relevant mailing lists would have given you the pointer to the experimental PCMCIA stuff written by Stefan Grefen. I think John Kohl is about to integrate it, but I guess it won't make it into 1.1.
