I've read the FAQ's that I could lay my hands on, however none really indicate the best way to operate when installing from a tape. I've got access to a SCSI DAT drive that I'd like to use to create an install tape with. Yes I have the boot-10.fs and inst-10.fs files and will grab the 1.1 version when they are avail. Since the files for the Amiga come as gzip'd tar files that have been split, I want to make sure that I'm following the right track. Should I combine and unzip the files and build the tar file on the tape? If this is the best route, what's the order of file sets (as they are laid out on the ftp sites.) Also if anyone has any idea on how to get a Sun 3/60 Shoebox with Emulex ESDI to SCSI converter to be recognized by the install script for 1.0 I'd appreciate the info. I spent a couple of wearying hours trying to see any of my SCSI drives with the install script. The drives are recognized on boot as 6 (internal ADOS - not changing this) and 1. The boot disk doesn't recognize the Emulex controller. Any thoughts? I spent quite some time making sure that the dos type matched that of the FAQ for installing NetBSD.
