Lines: 15 Message-ID: <49lbnr$4fq@interport.net> NNTP-Posting-Host: interport.net X-Newsreader: TIN [version 1.2 PL2] I'm relatively new to FreeBSD. Before, whenever, I tried to install or run Linux and Win NT on a 486 with non-parity, 32-bit SIMMS, I get all kinds of weird crashes that completely disappeared when I got 36-bit parity simms. I'm currently using FreeBSD with parity simms. There's a $50-$100 difference with parity SIMMs. I would like to save some money and use non-parity SIMMs. Has anyone had problems with non-parity simms on FreeBSD? I heard that Intel Triton pentium motherboards do not allow parity SIMMs. So, if I used non-parity SIMMS on a triton motherboard and install FreeBSD, will I have any problems? Any help thoroughly appreciated. Thanks. --David Tay
