I am currently running FreeBSD 2.0.5 and would like to update to
version 2.1 so I can use my IDE CDROM(SUN-MOON-STAR SOUNDBLASTER
compatable and IDE CDROM card with SONY CDU-55E). I have been
unsuccessful getting the CDROM drive recognized using the ATAPI boot
floppy (951104-SNAP). The CDROM is configured as the master and is the
only drive connected to the card.

Does this mean the hardware I am using is unlikely to work with the
ALPHA ATAPI driver after I install 2.1 from a hard drive(as I installed
2.0.5)?
