I have a 100M DOS 5.0 partition working with 386bsd and the shutdown -todos
command. You need use something to edit the partition table (I used Norton):
	1. Find the entry for your dos partition
	2. Change the magic number to the one for a DOS 3.30 partition

Sorry I can't give the magic numbers, but they're at home and I'm on campus.
This works because the shutdown commands scans the partition table for the
entry with the DOS 3.30 and sets it active before rebooting. You get the
error message if it does not find teh correct type of DOS partition.

If you have any questions (such as more detailed directions) feel free to
email at maraman@en.ecn.purdue.edu. If there is enough interest I post more
detailed info to the net.
