Message-ID: <1995Nov28.223923.26885@combdyn.com> Organization: Combustion Dynamics Ltd. Date: Tue, 28 Nov 1995 22:39:23 GMT Lines: 23 Is there such a thing as a caching NNTP server? If so, how would I got about setting one up? I hope its obvious why I want this.....I don't have the bandwidth to bring in a full feed, and just letting all the users access the NNTP server over the connection doesn't help either....Since the users don't have direct control on what NNTP server they use (FWTK)..... What I have now, is my own new spool and I control which groups I pull over and I add more groups to pull over as users request. The groups are made available to the users via an internal NNTP server. But, users don't tell me when they aren't reading a group anymore.....so there are probably lots of groups I'm pulling in that nobody is reading....etc. -- SNAIL: Lawrence Chen, P.Eng.
