The spool dir has chmod 700 with mmdf as owner. the delivery program, submit, needs to make files in the spool dir Its cant unless Im in as root, even though the suid bit is set on submit (4755) I had to give the mailer group perms to the subdirs and setgroupid submit to get it to work. I spent all day on this. I think its a problem with suid - any clues? ------------------------------------------------------------- Steve Hovey -- shovey@buffnet.net root@buffnet.net
