To the best of my knowledge, Netscape doesn't make a version of the server for FreeBSD (or Linux, which I run at home) because practically everyone has a different version or configuration of the kernel, and it would be nearly impossible to support. I'm not authorized to give you Netscape's actual position on the matter, but I'll speak for myself and let you know how it looks to me, at least. Have you actually tried it yet? I don't do Microsoft tech support either, or Nintendo, or Linux, or anything else not supported by Netscape. And reading further down the thread, I see that Walnut Creek CD-ROM has security running just fine on a server running FreeBSD.
