I just recently switched from Linux to FreeBSD. I installed on 2 partitions, each about 200 megs. Under linux, when things got tight on my /usr partition, I'd copy /usr/lib over to my root partition ( /usr/lib was usually 60 megs or more ) and then cross-link it. Well..... things got tight on my /usr partition under FreeBSD, so I attempted to do the same thing. Well, now I've noticed that several things don't work. Most of the problems seem to be with programs that use curses ( vi, less, kermit, etc. ). These programs usually die with a "Bus error..". What can I do to remedy the situation? I've already moved all of the libraries back to /usr/lib, with no success. Is this a permissions problem? Perhaps the owner is wrong? Maybe the inode numbers make a difference? Help!!! Sam
