Rexporting is SLOW and doubles : network load. : Linux is the ONLY unix system that allows re-export of NFS fs. : If you want others to mount the system, do what should be done... : mount it directly instead of rexporting. Well, besides to let others to mount my system, another reason why I wish to have my NFS re-exported is to have a loopback filsystem, which I used to have it on Linux via NFS... It would be great if FreeBSD supports loopback filesystem like SunOS anyway. And say... why do I see this in the man page of mount(8): SEE ALSO mount(2), vfsload(3), fstab(5), mount_cd9660(8), mount_fdesc(8), mount_kernfs(8), mount_lfs(8), mount_lofs(8), mount_mfs(8), ^^^^^^^^^^^^^ mount_nfs(8), mount_null(8), mount_portal(8), mount_procfs(8), mount_umap(8), mount_union(8), umount(8) It seems to me that FreeBSD *was to* support loopback filesystem, was it? :-\ Thanks for your responses... -- Your conscience never stops you from doing anything.
