System:

486/dx2-80 (amd)
32mb RAM
256k cache
VLB motherboard with AMI bios
Adaptec 1542CF controller
Seagate ST32550N (barracuda) 2 gig drive
3COM 3C509B ethernet (plug n play turned off)

Trying to boot the system with the 2.1 boot disk and I
get:

Error: C:0 H:1 S:0

over and over...

I also tried booting with 16mb RAM, thinking that the
Adaptec's bounce buffers might be a source of problems...
no joy...

I'd appreciate any insight regarding the nature of the
problem so I can get on with my FTP install. :)

2.0.5R booted and ran nicely on exactly the same
hardware.

Regards,

Chris
