If you've got patches applied up to 2.01, *and* you've replaced the motherboard already I'll bet it's the memory. When you say "cpu" I don't know whether you refer to the chip or the board. If you've replaced the board then it must be the ram. If only the chip, then it could be the cache supsystem on the motherboard: save the cpu and memory, and toss the motherboard. I've heard tales more than once of systems which ran DOS ram checks all day without a problem but crashed running unix almost immediately. Same system ran fine when good memory was installed. Personally I'll always pay the extra 3% to get memory 10 ns faster than required on paper in case things don't quite measure up. Hope this helps:) -- David Miller Usual disclaimers apply
