It's best to set the media type explicitly with 3C5X5CFG.EXE. One word of warning to EISA bus users, the docs recommend using the 509's EISA mode but I've found this doesn't always work, and if you've lost your EISA diskettes you can _never_ reconfigure the card for an ISA bus! (this was confirmed with 3COM tech support) Roger Marquis marquis@roble.com
