But the issue is that HE had problems, but it does not invalidate FreeBSD -- because lots of people do use FreeBSD in high-performance applications. When I rebuilt my first Linux kernel, it took me a couple of times longer than it takes me to build a FreeBSD kernel -- that means that Linux is harder to work with??? Of course not -- that is not the reason that Linux is not as good (flame bait :-)). It is because I was ignorant of the methodologies -- and I believe that is the reason that a lot of people get stuck with sometimes inferior OSes.... John dyson@freebsd.org
