Yes, but these are just teasers. Give you a little so you want the
real thing even worse. Coherent ran on a 286, also. You could run a
stripped-down version of vi, and a really simple compiler.
However, I suspect he wanted something you could actually do something
useful on.
Forget it on a 286.
