What do I do now? I would like to use a regular >address (such as 0.0.0.1) for my first system, but can't manage to get >it to work. > I guess it doesn't take much to figure out I'm new to networking. :-) Playing with ifconfig took care of that problem, but I have one more left. I have my NE2000 clone set for the 386BSD defaults, and my screen gets bombarded with "startartstartartstartartstart..." How do I get rid of this annoying message? If I'm not mistaken, it also gets written to /var/log/messages. :-( Thanks in advance, -- Jim H. * * James L. Henrickson * ujlh@sunyit.edu "Some day I might have a real .signature!"
