Simply put, "no". : I have a infomagic CD from Sept 92 containing 0.1 386BSD. : The documentation contains infomation on the 0.0 code and shows it dating : back to 1989. Next time check your info please. As I recall, it was not publicly available in 1989 - though I could be wrong. I believe the early versions of linux and 386bsd appeared on ftp sites within two months of each other, with linux appearing slightly before 386bsd. : I have no knowledge on Linux of this time. : I had never even heard of Linux until 0.8 and I heard it was horrible and not : a full systems, this was when I was running a full system of 386BSD 0.1. That's rather odd, considering there *never* was a 0.8 release. The version numbers jumped from around .3 to .9 without touching anything in between. :-) Anyway, the whole issue of which hit ftp sites first is rather moot, and silly to argue over. :) -Kurt : The only UN*X which NEEDS special documentation is LINUX! Really? Can you tell me where in the BSD 4.4 docs I can find out what 100Mbs Ethernet cards FreeBSD supports, and how to configure them?
