I'm trying to get qpopper going on a 2.1 box. Everything
seems to work fine except popper doesn't recognize valid
passwords. For example:

bash# telnet localhost 110
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.blast.net.
Escape character is '^]'.
+OK QUALCOMM Pop server derived from UCB (version 2.1.4-R3) at fireball starting
.
user testuser
+OK Password required for ritz.
pass testpassword
-ERR Password supplied for "ritz" is incorrect.
+OK Pop server at fireball signing off.
Connection closed by foreign host.

---snip snip---

I triple checked the password for "testuser" and I was using the
correct one. Is qpopper broken or have I missed something basic?

Regards,

Chris
