It was picked over Linux in fact. These 250 students bought CD's, but they were a special local CD we made. We have also noticed from our FTP server that many people do download and install over the net. Of course we are in a slightly special situation now, as apartments in town have ethernet in them (http://www.bev.net for more information), and the campus is slowly wiring all the dorms. I have personally Installed both FreeBSD and NetBSD on many machines, and I have never once even seen a Walnut Creak CDROM. Estimating the number of users is a really hard thing to do. -- Leo Bicknell - TMBG List Admin - tmbg-list-request@tmbg.org System Administrator / Network Technician bicknell@ufp.org - bicknell@vt.edu - bicknell@tmbg.org
