My dad Just got a shell account. His provider runs FreeBsd, they but have
put in this hideous menu system. My uses a Sinclair QL. We have noticed a
problem with Double carrage returns (enter) being sent. This is a real
nightmare because it selects the default choice on the menu. If I exit a
program I am sent back to the menu. The second enter sends me back to the
program ( it is already high lighted) The menu system is incredibly
stupid.

Is there any chance that this problem has anything to do with Freebsd, or
the way in which Freebsd interprets keystrokes provided by the Sinclair
QL? It does not seem to likely, but I want to eliminate that
possibilty. Thanks for your help
