I run System V, and now find myself confronted with a new system and not a : clue! There are many good books out there on system administration, but the one I would recommend if you are starting out is the 2nd edition of Evi Nemeth et al.'s "UNIX System Administration Handbook" (ISBN 0-13-151051-7). It addresses BSD/OS specifically (v 1.1, but it hasn't changed all that much) and constrasts it with other versions, including SystemV derivatives. It also has a cdrom with several utilities not included in the BSD/OS distribution. -- Greg Shenaut -- gkshenaut@ucdavis.edu
