I had FreeBSD for about two years, but recently switched to NetBSD, so I can compare the two somewhat for you, in certain respects. [...] Currently I have a "fixed" installation of NetBSD 1.0, and I've pretty much been turning away from both projects. My current thinking is to support and develop this system myself from here on. Very depressing. This isn't meant to be a slam or anything... but one wonders why, if you're able to develop your own improvements, that you haven't offered to pitch in and help either team fix the problems in the "real" systems... Also, again, not trying to be nasty or anything, but you should try to trim your lines shorter so I don't have to reformat everything just to quote it legibly. -- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Michael L.
