This config is working fine with DOS or with Linux that recognize the IRQ 10 setting via jumpers. The card is a WD8013. I tried also with a WD8003, set via jumpers to IRQ 5 (the only available choices are 3 or 5 for this card) and the message was the same: ed2: irq mismatch; kernel configured 10 != board configured 5 Other "strange thing": When booting with the distribution diskette, sometimes the machine waits after the boot prompt (:-), sometimes no! Last, is there some documentation decribing the meaning of the various during-boot messages: sea0: board typeunknown at address 0xf8ae6000 .... ie0: unknown AT&T board type code 15 .... ---------------------- Professeur Eric HORLAIT ------------------------ Universite Pierre et Marie Curie Tel: 33-1-44-27-73-83 Institut Blaise Pascal - Labo MASI Fax: 33-1-44-27-62-86 4, place Jussieu e-mail: Eric.Horlait@masi.ibp.fr 75252 PARIS Cedex 05 Telex: UPMCSIX 200-145 F -----------------------------------------------------------------------
