Date: 9 Dec 1995 22:24:25 GMT Organization: Mother.COM Lines: 13 Message-ID: <4ad2ap$1bk@pa.mother.com> NNTP-Posting-Host: step.mother.com X-Newsreader: TIN [version 1.2 PL2] Hi... I have an NCR 53c825 fast/wide SCSI HA, a Micropolis 2217 1.7GB SCSI-2, and a Quantum 34301 4.3GB fast/wide SCSI HD. The controller is recognized under 2.0.5-RELEASE and the Micropolis is capable of being partitioned and labeled. 2.0.5-RELEASE does not recognize the Quantum at all though. When I try a 2.1.0-RELEASE boot disk, both drives come up as "partitionable" but I cannot write the labeling information to either drive. Has anyone used this combination successfully under FreeBSD and, if so, how? Is the Adaptec 2940W a more workable f/w option under FreeBSD? Thanks grande... Jim Antoniou
