Hmmm...I'm in the process of setting up a FreeBSD 2.1 news server, using CNews because the news feed provider says it gives better performance for given resources than INN. I have 48MB RAM with a DX4-120 CPU,four HDs off one BT-445 controller: one 1 GB for history files and overhead type stuff, one fast(Barracuda) 4GB,two somewhat slower(Hawk) 4GB drives. Any ideas what sort of loads it should be able to carry,or what should be allocated where??
