I know this is a lame question, but ...

I can't figure out how to log FTP transfers. Acess is being logged.

I read the man pages for ftpd and it lists the options '-i' and '-o' to turn
on logging of incoming and outgoing transfers. I tried it. It didn't work.
Even after sending HUP to my inetd process.

So I look in the man page for 'xferlog'. It says the xferlog file is usually
in /var/log, but I can put it anywhere using an option for ftpd.

I look back in the man page for ftpd. No such option. There are two mystery
options that are not explained '-I' and '-O' (they are only mentioned in the
synopsis and don't look like they take a filename option).

So I tried creating an empty xferlog file in /var/log and restarting the
server, but the transfers still do not get logged.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Thanks,
