:The shell is a stock tcsh and I see nothing in the .login file which
:could cause this to happen. It's obnoxious as this machine is used for
:nothing but mail.
This is a feature of tcsh. The autologout variable defaults to 60
minutes if it is not set. To set it to another value just do 'set
autologout=xx' where xx is the number of minutes of inactivity before
you get logged out. To turn it off just do 'set noautologout'. For
more answers, just 'man tcsh'.
