What he could do is run slirp on the machine with the SLIP connection.
slirp could run across a serial line to the WFWG machine running trumpet
or something. That gets you a lot of the way there. An even better idea
would be to have slirp run at the ISP. slirp understands having lots
of IP addresses on the PPP side of the link. It is even conceivable
to gate two entire Internets together with slirp. :-) This presumes
that he has a shell account at his ISP instead of a PPP account,
though.
