I wish I can do that with Linux. single floppy? i think you mean two... one boot, one root. : : The biggest problem I have with FreeBSD is the lack of DOCUMENTATION. I : bet not many UNIX users know what a MBR is. Comparing with Linux, LILO i won't argue the point too much, but did you try looking at the help during the install -- i found it quite informative regarding disks and boot managers. but then, i'm already pretty familiar with all that, so i might not be the best judge. i run linux at home, and FreeBSD at work. i like 'em both. freebsd is very stable, very predictable, very uniform from machine to machine. and the ports/packages stuff is great -- if somethings been ported, or made into a package, you _know_ it will run, as opposed to the linux anarchy where binaries are tailored for the machine of the person that built it, and may or may not be suitable for your particular setup/release/distribution/ share-lib release level. on the other hand, you probably won't find drivers for the PowerGlove for freebsd. :-) paul -- --------------------- paul fox american internet corporation pgf@american.com (home: pgf@foxharp.boston.ma.us)
