I just installed FreeBSD 2.1 on my laptop (Zenith Z-note 486SL33, 8M RAM,
200MB Hard Drive) and it worked great! I must comment that the new
install is really slick and handles errors really well.

Anyhow after installing I went to recompile my own kernel and just
changed the GENERIC config around to get rid of devices that I don't
have. After that I compile, install, and reboot and it boots just fine,
however, when I get to the login prompt my keyboard is dead. I can't type
anything. If I reboot with the generic kernel it works fine, but when I
try and use mine nothing works. Any help or suggestions would be greatly
appreciated!
