So I recompiled and set the board to IRQ 4 (even though my COM1 is IRQ 4) which by the way can not be disabled. Well when I rebooted it froze up immediately so I booted with my old kernel (the one that has the boca set to IRQ 3). Then when I booted with this kernel it all of a sudden recognized my board on IRQ 3 (even though it was physically set to IRQ4). So now I played arround with it, recompiled a few times, but that's basically what it all boils down to. I've got a few modems on the board, and am not having any troubles. However I am suspicous of letting FreeBSD get away with that, playing my board on IRQ3, while its actually on 4. Any suggestions? I don't wanna leave it running like this (even though its working) because I"m thinking its all gonna come crashing down on me soooon...I can just see the day Anyhow, letme know what y'all think Thanks Thomas schroecker thomas@canadian-agra.com
