I was trying to get hylafax to go with a Zyxel modem, and losing. One symptom
was that when I'd try to dial in with a data call, faxgetty would fire up
getty, but the getty would die immediately, dropping the connection. Another
problem is that frequently tip and kermit are unable to open /dev/cuaa even
when no incoming data call or fax send/receive is in progress. tip and kermit
error out with "line in use" msg of some sort.

Is this a known failure mode? Am I screwing up in some standard way?
Does anyone live happily with hylafax?
