OK. I putting together a system to run freebsd. I've been poking
around web pages to find what components I should get and have found
some useful comments on what is supported and compatible. But now,
when I call the clone sellers I find they are selling different
devices. I assmue that this is due to the lag between introduction of
new cards and updating the web pages. I don't want to buy something
that won't work, so I gotta ask here...

SCSI cards:

I'm looking for a fast PCI card. Indication seems to be that I should
use the Buslogic BT-946. Now I find that people are selling Buslogic's
BT-930 Flasshpoint. Will this work or should I stick with the older card?

Video cards:

Again, I'm looking for a fast PCI card. Indications are that ATI Pro
Turbo or Diamond Stealth 64 are good cards. However, one web page
warned abainst the Stealth *graphics* 64 and recomended the Stealth
*video* 64. I find that people are selling the 2201 XL, which seems
to be the same as the stealth *graphics*. Have the compatibility
issues been solved?

Thanks,

Tom.
