Are you saying that the installation program for 2.1.0 isn't too good, or that eariler ones were bad? If you feel 2.1.0 isn't too good, I would be interested in a straight forward, diplomatic reasons why. Previously I wanted to try both FreeBSD and NetBSD to decide which to run. I had a MS-DOG paritition I didn't want to trash. The install for NetBSD 1.0 was asking too much for me to be confident I wouldn't trash the FAT parition. However the install for FreeBSD 2.0R won me over. I also tried to install Slackware 3.0, but it wouldn't reconize the install media in my CDROM Drive. Strange. It was an NEC SCSI cdrom drive, that everyone else reconized. Maybe my goof? -- David (obrien@cs.ucdavis.edu)
