What I did was -> keep the name of the file I wanted to copy not more than eight characters -> and move it to the DOS. Solaris can mount a DOS filesystem by set the type to -> 'pcfs' while BSDI can mount it by set the type to 'msdos'(???). Does the High Sierra File System support read/write filesystems or just read-only. I would imagine that using HSFS w/ Rock Ridge extensions might be a good solution... aBp.
