I have a netware server and a freebsd box talking to each other. Instead
of putting another hard disk in the freebsd box, I put it in the netware
server and mount it on the unix box. This way, both unix and novell
clients can access the same filesytem. You need to be running NetwareNFS
and the TCPIP protocol on your novell server. An added bonus to this is
that you get a free FTP server out of the deal... This will also allow
you to share unix printers with novell and visa-versa. It is a
commercial solution, but it is certainly worth the effort and money.
When considering the alterative of trying to move all your DOS boxes to NFS
or trying a kludge to mount unix volumes via IPX, this seems like a more
elegant solution.
