Instead of putting another hard disk in the freebsd box, I put it in the netware server and mount it on the unix box. This way, both unix and novell clients can access the same filesytem. You need to be running NetwareNFS and the TCPIP protocol on your novell server. An added bonus to this is that you get a free FTP server out of the deal... This will also allow you to share unix printers with novell and visa-versa. It is a commercial solution, but it is certainly worth the effort and money. When considering the alterative of trying to move all your DOS boxes to NFS or trying a kludge to mount unix volumes via IPX, this seems like a more elegant solution.
