thankyou, muchly appreciated.

thats the impression i got in the begining and appears to be being borne out by
my experiences of both walnut creek and freebsd users in general .. keep up the
good work.

while i don't know for sure when you reat the article you will know if they are
or not .. i'd appreciate some email on the matter. yes, i'd like to support
freebsd and walnut creek and if things were diferent i'd be signed up for a
freebsd subscription but beggers can't allways choose, to paraphrase a common
euphamism.

JKH> before, the direct retail prices from WC are *intentionally* high so as

while i worked, it was in the computer and related support provision industry
so i understand the reasons and noted that at some earlier time (someone from
walnut creek or yourself) said that some part of the profit from freebsd cd's
go back into the development cycle .. an admirable concession, indeed. again
just another reason for us end users to support booth freebsd and walnut creek
apart from all the other more usual good guy crap .. grin.

JHK> Any information on such distributors is certainly welcome here, and

i'll post the information in a seperate article .. while the freebsd market
place in australia isn't very big hopefully we can a, show our support in a
more tangible manner and b, because of our support the distributor gains
confidence in the product and sees value in earmarking advertising dollars for
specific segment targets, like freebsd for instance.

regards, and all the best for the new year as well as a safe and happy
