The active partition was changed from the BSD partition to the DOS 
partition.  Boot from the FreeBSD startup floppy, then select Custom 
Installation options, then Partition.  Highlight the freebsd partition and 
press S to set it as bootable.  Then press W to write the changes to disk.  
You'll then see a screen asking what kind of boot you want.  Let it default to 
the boot manager, of course.  After it has finished writing, just reset your 
machine and the boot manager should appear.

Also, I imagine you could simply run dos FDISK and set the boot partition to 
the non-dos partition, but I didn't bother with trying that.
