OK, we just bought a brand-spankin' new system. P133 with Adaptec 2940
and two Seagate Hawk 4 (4Gb) drives. Booted FreeBSD off floppy fine,
went through Novice intstall, told FreeBSD to use the whole disk,
set the partitions, and WHAM! It failed. First when adding the swap
partition, it claimed "Device not configured". Then, when trying to
create the root partition, it failed with a return code of "1"...can
anybody clue me in on this?

On the side, we got a 3COM PCI Ethernet marked "3C590"...is this
compatible with the 3C509?
