Date: Tue, 9 Jan 1996 18:50:35 GMT Organization: Jet Propulsion Laboratory Lines: 11 Message-ID: <f.odonnell.652.30F2B8FB@jpl.nasa.gov> NNTP-Posting-Host: 137.78.104.20 X-Newsreader: Trumpet for Windows [Version 1.0 Rev B final beta #4] I just tried bringing up a FreeBSD 2.1 install diskette on a Gateway 2000 P5-120 (120-MHz Pentium) that has, among other devices, a Sanyo 3-Disk 4x IDE CD-ROM drive (model number unknown; Gateway markets it as its own). I gather FreeBSD 2.1 doesn't support it, because it doesn't report seeing any CD-ROM drives when it starts up. Is support for this drive type ever likely? This isn't a showstopper for us, just curious. Frank f.odonnell@jpl.nasa.gov
